Prayagraj, June 15 (HS). To keep pace with the private schools of the city, the Basic Education Department is improving the council schools of Sangamnagari. Efforts are on to make the classrooms smart and equip them with modern facilities. Under this, the look of 48 schools of the city area is changing. A lot of changes will be seen when the schools open after the summer vacation. Children will get the facility of smart class, ICT lab, science lab.

District Basic Education Officer Praveen Kumar Tiwari said that under this there will be excellent facilities of furniture for sitting, clean drinking water, toilets. Activity based teaching will be given in a planned manner under the Nipun Bharat Mission to provide quality education to the students. He said that the PWD department has taken the responsibility of improving the schools of the city area. A total of 1856.08 lakh rupees have been spent in improving the schools. He said that along with the construction of new buildings, some were also repaired. Steps are being taken to ensure that children get a good environment when the school opens and teachers take interest in teaching. BSA said that the schools which have been modernized include about 48 schools of the city including Upper Primary School Naya Katra, Upper Primary School and Primary School Niva.
