This feat was first achieved by Bangladesh's Mashrafe Murtaza. He did this against Afghanistan in 2014. After this, in 2014, Afghan team's Shapoor Zadran took a wicket on the very first ball of the match against Hong Kong.

Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Shayan Jahangir on the first ball and then got Andreas Ghos caught on the last ball. He became the third bowler to take 2 wickets in an over in this T20 World Cup. Before him, Namibia's Trumpelman did this against Oman and Afghanistan's Fazalhaq Farooqi did this against Uganda.
Bhuvneshwar's feat:
Arshdeep Singh became the second Indian bowler to take a wicket on the first ball of any innings of a T20 World Cup match. Before him, Bhuvneshwar Kumar had done this. Bhuvneshwar achieved this feat against Zimbabwe in 2022.

Arshdeep took 4 wickets for 9 runs in 4 overs. He became India's best bowler in the T20 World Cup. He broke Ravichandran Ashwin's record. Ashwin took 4 wickets for 11 runs against Australia in Mirpur in 2014. Harbhajan Singh took 4 wickets for 12 runs against England in Colombo in 2012.
