After going to account settings, select Delete My Account option. Now confirm your phone number. WhatsApp will confirm the phone number associated with your account.
Enter the registered number in the field given below. After entering the phone number you have to tap on Delete My Account to start the further process.
Now a confirmation message will appear, informing you that your message history, group memberships and backups will be lost once your account is deleted. If you still want to proceed, tap on Delete My Account.
