Kanpur, June 10 (HS). On Monday, the court sentenced two accused to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000 each in a murder case that took place in 2017 in the Phulkhana police station area. In the same case, the third accused was sentenced to three years' imprisonment and a fine of Rs 4,000.

Deputy Commissioner of Police East Shravan Kumar Singh said that Operation Conviction is being run against criminals on the instructions of the Yogi government. Under this, the court on Monday sentenced Shiva Parvat, resident of Chatai Mohalla and Dinesh Kashyap, resident of Chawal Mandi, accused in the murder case that took place in the year 2017 in the Fieldkhana police station area, to life imprisonment. The third accused in the same murder case, Umesh Kashyap, resident of Chawal Mandi in Fieldkhana area, has been sentenced to 3 years imprisonment and a fine of 4 thousand.

He said that due to the good advocacy of District Government Advocate Dilip Awasthi and Additional District Government Advocate Bhaskar Mishra and Inspector in-charge of Fieldkhana police station Dhananjay Pandey and his team, the criminals got punishment. This campaign will continue.
