Year-long Chaturveda Swahakar World Welfare Mahayagya, water journey started on completion

Varanasi, June 09 (HS). In the Veda department of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, a water procession was taken out in the campus on Sunday to honor the completion of 90 days of Samvatsaravpi Chaturveda Swahakar Vishwakalyaan Mahayagna with grandeur. The grand event of the five-day Navkundatmak Rudra Mahayagna also started under the leadership of Agnihotri scholar Pukhraj Bissa of Shri Shantidevi Vidyapeeth Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Bihari Lal Sharma, who was involved in the water procession, said that the water procession before the auspicious program is a symbol of the presence of all the pilgrimages, due to which performing yagya in the vicinity of the pilgrimages increases virtue and brings happiness and prosperity in human life. On the first day of Navkundatmak Rudra Mahayagna, Lord Agnidev was manifested from the churning of the fire and Agnishapana was done and Rudra Mahayagna began.

Agnihotri Pukhraj Bissa of Jodhpur said that the presence of gods is being felt directly due to the continuous yagya being conducted for the welfare of the world in the university. The entire country is benefiting from this holy work being done by the university. Today, many institutions from across the country are interested in participating in the fragrance and energy of this yagya, they will join soon.

Coordinator of the Yagya and Acharya Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma said that any Sanatani can participate in this Yagya which will continue throughout the year. In three months, many devotees have contributed to this noble work and have gained merit. He said that 150 devotees of Jodhpur's Shanti Devi Vidyapeeth will participate in the Jalayatra for seven days.
