Uganda has a shameful record!
While chasing the target of 174 runs given by West Indies, the entire Ugandan team collapsed for just 39 runs in 12 overs. Their plight can be gauged from the fact that while chasing the target, 10 batsmen returned to the pavilion in single digits. Not only this, during this time 3 players could not even open their account, while 3 players were out after scoring just 1 run each. 9th ranked Juma Miyagi was the highest scorer for Uganda against West Indies. He faced 20 balls and played an unbeaten innings of 13 runs for the team.
With this defeat against West Indies, Uganda has registered an embarrassing record. The losing team jointly became the first team to be out on the lowest score in T20 World Cup history. Earlier in 2014, the Netherlands team was all out on the same score of 39 runs against Sri Lanka.
