District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan said that under the master plan, a 20 meter wide road (river front road) has been proposed along the banks of Ganga from Bhatauli Ghat to Vindhyachal with a view to stop the erosion of the Ganga river and to stop the water of drains and sewers coming from the settlements along the Ganga. This road also includes a proposal to stop erosion by building a strong wall on the banks of Ganga and to build sewer treatment plants in between.
