Five accused arrested in the encounter, two people got shot in the leg

Jalaun, 07 June (HS). On receiving information about criminals involved in robbery and dacoity leaving the district, the SOG and surveillance team along with police personnel laid siege on Jalaun road. During this, five criminals travelling in a car had an encounter with the police team. Two criminals were shot in the leg and three were caught.

Additional Superintendent of Police Asim Chaudhary told reporters on Friday that on Thursday midnight, the SOG, along with the surveillance team, activated on a tip-off, cordoned off the area. They stopped the vehicles coming and going and started searching them. Meanwhile, when the police tried to stop a car, some criminals in it started firing at the police. In the retaliatory action of the police, Anil Kanjad and Ramkrishna, residents of Mahua Wala Dera in Madhya Pradesh, were shot in the leg. At the same time, the accused Shaukat Kanjad, Brijesh and Ramkrishna Bhargava were arrested.

Additional Superintendent of Police said that for a long time, these five criminals together used to commit robbery and looting in the district as well as in many districts of Madhya Pradesh and even in Rajasthan. Police and SOG team arrested them during an encounter and sent them to jail. They were found with cash, pistol and gold and silver jewellery. Police took action and sent the accused to jail. DIG has announced a reward of 25 thousand to the team.
