BJP suffered a setback with 62 to 33 seats in all six provinces of one state

Lucknow: In this Lok Sabha election, BJP has suffered the biggest setback in Uttar Pradesh. From Western Uttar Pradesh to Purvanchal, BJP has suffered losses earlier as well. BJP, which won 62 seats in the region, has had to be content with only 33 seats in this election. BJP also lost the Faizabad seat in Ayodhya where Ram Mandir was built. Uttar Pradesh has been divided into six provinces. BJP has faced defeat in all the provinces.

Out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 10 are in West, eight in Braj, 20 in Awadh, 11 in Rohilkhand, 5 in Bundelkhand and the maximum number of 26 seats are in Purvanchal. In West, BJP got four seats with a decrease of two seats, here RJD got two, SP got two while Congress and Azad Samaj Party got one seat each. In Awadh, BJP won only nine out of 20 seats, the biggest setback in the state came in Ayodhya, where despite the construction of Ram temple, it had to face defeat. Veteran leaders like Maneka Gandhi and Smriti Irani lost.

In Rohilkhand province, which got only four seats, Samajwadi Party dominated the province and won seven seats. Bundelkhand province is considered to be the most drought-prone and economically the least developed province. BJP, which had earlier won all five seats in the province, had to be content with just one seat in Jhansi. Purvanchal region has the highest number of 26 seats. Where BJP, which had earlier won 18 seats, had to be content with 10 seats. Here Samajwadi Party won the maximum number of 14 seats, while Apna Dal and Congress won one seat each. BJP, which had won seven seats in Braj, had to be content with five. BJP could not do a clean sweep in any of the six provinces of Uttar Pradesh.

In Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh worked together, both raised the issues of the Constitution and unemployment, which the BJP failed to counter. BSP chief Mayawati contested the election without any alliance and fielded a Muslim leader in Muslim areas, however, Muslims did not allow polarization of votes and turned towards SP-Congress. On the SC reserved seat of Nagina, when Dalits left the BSP and chose Chandrashekhar Azad, apart from this, BJP also had to face local issues, while the Ram Mandir campaign also failed.

When the votes of these big leaders decreased, someone suffered a loss

Narendra Modi had won the Varanasi seat by 4.79 lakh votes in the last Lok Sabha election, this time the difference has come down to 1.52 lakh. While in the last election, Union Defense Minister and former BJP President Rajnath Singh won the Lakhoon seat by 3.47 lakh votes, in this election this figure has come down to 1.5 lakh. Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni has lost the Kheri seat. His son Ashish Mishra is accused of crushing the farmers. Apart from this, Smriti Irani lost from Amethi while Maneka Gandhi also lost from Sultanpur.

Percentage of votes and seats won

Samajwadi Party won the maximum 37 seats and became the largest party in the state, while BJP came second by winning 33 seats, Congress got six seats, Rashtriya Lok Dal-RLD got 2 seats, Azad Samaj Party, Chandrashekhar Azad's party Bhim Army got 1 seat, Apna Dal got 1 seat. If we look at the vote percentage in Uttar Pradesh, BJP got 41.37 percent votes, while Samajwadi Party got 33.5 percent votes, Congress got nine percent votes.
