BJP candidate lost Pratapgarh Lok Sabha seat by 67,704 votes

Pratapgarh, June 04 (HS). Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate Shivpal Singh Patel has won the Pratapgarh Lok Sabha seat. He defeated BJP candidate Sangam Lal Gupta by 67,704 votes.

SP candidate Shivpal Singh Patel got 4,41,932 votes, while BJP candidate Sangam Lal Gupta got 3,75,726 votes.

Sangam Lal Gupta was trying his luck for the second time on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket from Pratapgarh Lok Sabha seat. He had won the 2019 elections. The BJP again expressed its trust in Sangam Lal and made him the candidate. At the same time, the Samajwadi Party made Shivpal Singh Patel its candidate as the candidate of the Indi alliance. The public expressed confidence in him and he defeated the BJP candidate. At the same time, Bahujan Samaj Party's Prathamesh Mishra had to be satisfied with 75000 votes. In the Lok Sabha elections, 26 candidates were in the fray from Pratapgarh, out of which 23 candidates lost their deposits.
