Someone walks into the Israel Day parade carrying a sign that says 'Kill the hostages'

New York: During the Israel Day parade here, a Palestinian supporter entered the parade with a Palestinian flag wrapped around his face. This caused chaos in the area. Along with this, many anti-Israel people, most of whom were native Palestinians, entered the parade and tried to disrupt the parade.

Israel was freed by the British on 1 June 1948. Therefore, June 1 is celebrated by Jews all over the world. In such a situation, Israelis based in New York also celebrate June 1 as Israel Day. Along with them, many pro-Israel Americans and many people settled in America from abroad celebrate June 1 as Israel Day. New York has the largest Jewish population in the whole of America. Therefore, every June 1, a huge procession takes place.

This year, families of people held hostage by Hamas also joined the Israel Day parade. In that procession, a Palestinian walked in the parade next to a pro-Israel supporter with a Palestinian flag wrapped around his mouth. The man, who had disguised himself by wrapping a Palestinian flag, called a keffiyyat, around his mouth, was confronted by a Jew who threatened him, saying, “Don’t come in front of me again.”

Analysts say that the hostility between Palestinians-Arabs and Jews in Israel has become so deep that there is no immediate possibility of an end to the Israel-Hamas war.
