Earthquakes struck twice today. Exactly 5 minutes later, an earthquake of 4.8 magnitude struck, but the tremors were so strong that people panicked. They came out of their homes. People saw buildings shaking, a video of which surfaced.

There was a power outage in the entire province. Bullet train wheels stopped. Although the earthquake caused high waves in the sea, there is no tsunami warning. The government has advised people to remain alert and appealed to stay away from the sea coast. Japan's Eastern Railway Zone has suspended Hokuriku Shinkansen and Joetsu Shinkansen bullet train services until further notice. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the epicenter of the earthquake was found 10 kilometers below the ground.
Earthquake for the third time in 6 months
According to media reports, the strongest tremors of the earthquake were felt in Wajima, Suzu, Noto, Nanao, Anamizu City, Niigata City of Ishikawa Prefecture this morning. According to the Meteorological Department, although bullet trains are still running, an emergency was imposed as soon as the earthquake struck and the trains were stopped wherever they were.
