Special discussion on movement of citizens
The two sides reiterated their commitment to visit the fourth phase of India-Bangladesh Consular Dialogue in Delhi and enhance people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. The Ministry of External Affairs said that there was a detailed discussion on ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation on international issues, visa matters, extradition, MLAT or Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty and extradition matters. According to the statement, “Both sides agreed to further strengthen the movement of citizens of the two countries.”

The India-Bangladesh Consular Dialogue Administration was established in the year 2017. It aims to strengthen people-to-people contact through regular discussions on issues related to consular, visa and mutual legal assistance. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, they reiterated their commitment to promote reconciliation between the people of the two countries and agreed to plan the next round of discussions in Dhaka at a mutually convenient time.
