Varanasi, May 29 (HS). Senior BJP leader and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took blessings of saints at Jangamwadi Math on Wednesday evening. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who came to Varanasi to campaign for BJP candidate Prime Minister Narendra Modi, participated in 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat: Kashi Maharashtra Samagam' after taking blessings from Jagatguru Chandrashekhar Shivacharya Mahaswami, Peethadhipati Dr. Mallikarjun Vishwaradhya Shivacharya Mahaswami of the Math.
In the programme, the Deputy Chief Minister addressed the citizens of Maharashtra living in Banaras and told them about the welfare works of the Central Government. He started his address in Marathi.
Earlier, while talking to journalists, he said that the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath have changed Banaras. Development work has been done here in such a way. After seeing that, the world wants to come here. I am also very happy to see the enthusiasm here.
In response to a question, the Deputy Chief Minister said that there is no need for election campaign in Kashi. I am overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of Varanasi. With the blessings of Baba Vishwanath and the work of Modi, his victory is certain.
While encouraging the BJP workers, he said that the goal should be to make the slogan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of crossing 400 a reality. The development of Kashi, UP and the country will depend on this. Due to Prime Minister Modi, the respect of India has increased in the whole world. Kashi is becoming a centre of tourism.
