Lucknow, May 28 (HS). The aerobics team of Uttar Pradesh performed brilliantly in the 14th Aerobics Federation Cup and won the runner-up trophy. In this tournament organized by the India Aerobics Sports and Fitness Federation, Lucknow's girl players – Noora Inayati won four medals, while Anahat Singh and Aarna Khurana won 3 medals each, making a total of 10 medals.
With this, these three players have confirmed their place in the Indian team for the Asian Championship to be held in Bangkok (Thailand) in the coming month of August. The players' chief coach Malvika Bajpai (Organizing Secretary Uttar Pradesh Aerobics Sports and Fitness Association) told that all the players practice at Yoga Shakti International Fitness Studio in Gomti Nagar. UP Olympic Association General Secretary Anandeshwar Pandey and officials of sports associations have congratulated the players on this excellent performance.
He told that Noora Inayati won the silver medal in individual sports aerobics in under-14. The pair of Anahat Singh, Noora Inayati and Aarna Khurana won the silver medal in girls trio sports aerobics. This trio then won the silver medal in the under-14 mixed category of fitness aerobics. Anahat, Noora and Aarna then won the silver medal in the pitite group in under-14 sports aerobics.
Executive President of Uttar Pradesh Aerobics Sports and Fitness Association, Dr. Yash Parashar said that this is the highest performance of Uttar Pradesh till date at the national level. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association General Secretary Dr. Anandeshwar Pandey, who was present as the chief guest in the 14th Aerobics Federation Cup, gave his blessings to the medal winners.
On this occasion, President of Uttar Pradesh Aerobics Sports and Fitness Association Anand Shekhar Singh, General Secretary ML Sahu also congratulated the winners for their bright future. Joint Secretary of the Association Mohd. Tauheed said that medal winning aerobics players of Lucknow will be honoured in a function organised in Lucknow very soon.
