Students will be able to avail the benefits of online learning material from home: Vice Chancellor

Kanpur, May 28 (HS). Students sitting at home will be able to take advantage of online learning material through Dronacharya, Center for Online and Distance Education established in the university. Through the operation of distance and online courses, students will now get opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills by high level teachers of the university. These things were said by CSJMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Vinay Pathak on Tuesday.

A meeting of the Vidya Parishad was held at the university on Tuesday under the leadership of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) Vice Chancellor Professor Vinay Pathak, in which a consensus was reached on conducting online courses along with other issues.

The Vice Chancellor said that recently the university made a question bank available to the students, which is being benefited by thousands of students. Thus, this is a unique and new initiative of the university to provide education at home. Along with this, the School of Language and Education Department of the university will also provide new BA programs to the students from the next session. Students of other universities will also be able to get the facility of studying in the university from mid-session.

Along with this, necessary amendments were also made in various courses taught in the university as per the needs of the society. The Vidya Parishad approved the award of Dr. Vishwanath Seth Award to the two top ranked students of the Sociology Department of the university.

During this, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Awasthi, Registrar Dr. Anil Yadav, Dr. Vrishti Mitra, Dr. Anuradha Kalani, Prof. Sandeep Singh, COE Rakesh Kumar, FO Ashok Kumar Tripathi, Associate Dean Dr. Anshu Singh, Dr. Akhilendra, Samarendra Singh, coordinators of various subjects, heads of various departments of the university were also present.
