Firozabad, May 28 (HS). Counting of votes for the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 will begin on June 4 at 8 am amid tight security arrangements by the police and district administration at Mandi Samiti Shikohabad. District Magistrate Ramesh Ranjan and Senior Superintendent of Police Saurabh Dixit inspected the counting site Mandi Samiti Shikohabad on Tuesday to ensure that the counting is fair, transparent, safe and peaceful.
During the inspection, all the concerned were instructed while paying attention to all the details from the point of view of law and order. The District Magistrate said that to stop the vehicles coming from Firozabad, barricading will be installed on both sides as soon as the service road starts from the highway. The vehicles of the counting personnel will be parked at Ramlila Maidan and the vehicles of the officers will be parked at Rahi Guest House. 75 high megapixel CCTV cameras have been installed at the counting place. Apart from this, all the activities will also be closely monitored with drone cameras. The counting place has been covered with a three-tier security system. Magistrates have been deployed in the outer layer, while senior officers will be present in the inner layer to see the arrangements and give necessary instructions. Barricading will be installed from the gate of the Mandi Samiti to both sides of the over bridge towards Shikohabad. Apart from this, a large number of police PAC and paramilitary forces will be present.
