Kanpur, 27 May (HS). The weather department has forecast that there are chances of light clouds in the next five days, but there is no possibility of rain. Along with this, the day and night temperatures are expected to remain above normal.
Dr. S.N. Sunil Pandey, Meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, said that on Monday the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.8 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was 45.0 degrees Celsius. However, if we talk about the relative humidity, the maximum was 48 percent and the minimum was 19 percent. The average wind speed was 4.5 kilometers per hour and the wind direction was south-east.

The agrometeorologist informed that on 26th May the monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of southwest Bay of Bengal, southeast and central Bay of Bengal. Severe Cyclone Ramal over coastal Bangladesh and adjoining coastal West Bengal has moved nearly northwards with a speed of 15 kmph during the past 6 hours and has weakened into a Cyclone.
Dr. Pandey said that at 05:30 am on Monday, it reached near longitude 89.3-degree east, and latitude 22.5 north. About 150 km northeast of Sagar Island (West Bengal), 110 km northwest of Khepu Para (Bangladesh), 70 km northeast of Canning (West Bengal). This weather system may initially move towards north-east and then towards north-east direction and weaken further.
The Western Disturbance lies as a trough in the lower tropospheric westerly winds with its axis at 3.1 km above sea level, now running roughly north of 74°E longitude and 34°N latitude. A Cyclonic Circulation lies over Northwest Uttar Pradesh. A Cyclonic Circulation lies over Northeast Assam. Another Cyclonic Circulation lies over Southeast Rajasthan.
