Olympic medalist PV Sindhu of India has made a brilliant comeback after the break. The Hyderabadi reached the semi-finals of the Malaysia Masters badminton tournament by defeating China's Han Yu 21-13, 14-21, 21-12 in women's singles. Sindhu did not play in the recently played Thailand Open and Uber Cup. It won its last title as Singapore in 2022. Sindhu started aggressively against the Chinese player and easily won the first game in her favor.

In the second game, Han Yu fought back and played some excellent shots at the nets. The score was tied at 1-1 after the second game but Sindhu took an aggressive approach in the third game to put pressure on her opponent and won both the game and the match by a score of 21-12. In another match, India's young shuttler Asmita Chalihan faced disappointment. She was defeated by sixth seed Zhang Yi Men in the quarterfinals by a score of 21-10, 21-15. Zhang forced Chalihan to play a consistent baseline game with long rally shots.
