Rajasthan lost not because of bad batting but because of 'Shabnam'? Know why Sanju Samson said so | Live Updates, Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

The dream of IPL's first champion team Rajasthan Royals to play the final for the third time has come true. The team led by Sanju Samson lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad by 36 runs in the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2024 on Friday. In the Qualifier 2 match played at MM Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, 2008 champion Rajasthan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Hyderabad scored 175 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs and Rajasthan achieved the target by scoring 139 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Thus, they had to face defeat by 36 runs. Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson blamed Shabnam for this defeat.

Sanju Samson said after the match that we performed well in the first innings. The performance of our bowlers was commendable. During the second innings, we did not perform well in the middle overs and from here the match slipped out of our hands. The pitch changed in the second innings. This happened due to the absence of Shabnam i.e. dew. There was a lot of spin in the pitch and along with this their bowlers also bowled brilliantly.

In the final, 2016 champion Hyderabad will now face two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders on May 26. Shahbaz Ahmed bowled lethally for Hyderabad and took 3 big wickets for 23 runs in four overs. Apart from this, Abhishek Sharma gave only 24 runs in his 1 over and hit two big hits. While captain Pat Cummins and T Natarajan took one wicket each.

Sanju Samson said that in the last two-three years, some good young players have come into our team. Dhruv Jurel and Riyan Parag's performance has been very good. They can play good cricket not only for our team but also for the Indian team.
