Varanasi, May 25 (HS). In the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections, the voting process is going on in the Pindra assembly constituency of Machhlishahr Lok Sabha seat since 7 am on Saturday amid tight security. Voters reached their booths from the morning itself and started queuing up for voting. When their turn came, they voted with full enthusiasm. A lot of enthusiasm is visible among the youth who are voting for the first time. SP candidate from Machhlishahr Lok Sabha, Priya Saroj, exercised her franchise at the polling booth in Pindra.
About 13.3 percent voting took place in the assembly constituency till 9 am. Before this, District Election Officer S. Rajlingam reached the control room set up in Vikas Bhawan after the voting started in Pindra assembly of Machhali Shahar Lok Sabha seat. He went to the web casting control room and saw the live telecast of the web camera running during the voting and also got information about the voting related data.
Sarnath ACP Atul Anjan Tripathi gave instructions to the officers while inspecting the Composite School Pindra. He appealed to everyone to vote peacefully in Pindra. The ACP said that if any voter has any problem, he should immediately inform the administration about his problem and it will be resolved immediately.
300 paramilitary personnel, 300 PAC personnel and 1892 policemen have been deployed at 389 booths of 190 polling centers in the assembly constituency. The polling area has been divided into three zones and 34 sectors. Nine flying squads, nine static surveillance teams and 24 QRTs are patrolling.
