Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals by 36 runs to reach their third IPL final

Sunrisers Hyderabad has made it to the final of IPL for the third time. The team defeated Rajasthan by 36 runs in Qualifier-2 last night. Hyderabad has reached the final of this league after 6 years. The last time the team was runner-up was in 2018. This season, Hyderabad's title match against Kolkata Knight Riders will be held on 26 May at Chepauk Stadium.

In the Qualifier-2 match played in Chennai, Rajasthan won the toss and chose to bowl. Hyderabad scored 175 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Rajasthan could only score 139 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed was chosen as the Player of the Match. He took 3 wickets and also scored 18 runs.

For SRH, Heinrich Klaasen scored 50 runs in 34 balls. Travis Head scored 34 runs and Rahul Tripathi scored 37 runs. Trent Boult and Avesh Khan took 3-3 wickets. Sandeep Sharma got 2 wickets. One batsman was run out.

RR's Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 42 runs and Dhruv Jurel scored 56 runs. Hyderabad's spinners took 5 wickets. Shahbaz Ahmed took 3 and Abhishek Sharma took 2 wickets. Captain Pat Cummins and T. Natarajan got 1-1 wickets.
