Rajasthan Royals' Shimron Hetmyer has been fined 10% of his match fee for violating the IPL Code of Conduct during Qualifier 2 of the Tata Indian Premier League 2024 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 24, the BCCI said.

Hetmyer flopped against Hyderabad

The 27-year-old batsman was a complete flop in the crucial match against Hyderabad. Hetmyer scored just four runs off 10 balls. Rajasthan had to face defeat in an important match due to his poor performance. The BCCI further said that Hetmyer has committed a Level 1 offense under Section 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He has admitted his guilt and accepted the match referee's punishment. The match referee's decision for Level 1 violation of the Code of Conduct is final and binding.
