Justin Langer: Former Australian coach Justin Langer has refused to coach the Indian team. He says that there is a lot of pressure and politics in this job. Justin has said this quoting LSG captain KL Rahul. Langer said that Rahul had given him good advice on the difficulties related to the job during the IPL.
Coaching India would be a great job but it's not for me right now. I also know it's a tough job and after working with the Australian team for four years I can say it's tiring.' Talking about his chat with KL Rahul, Justin said, 'If you think there's pressure and politics in an IPL team, it increases a thousand times when you coach India. I think it was good advice.'
Justin Langer and KL Rahul have teamed up for the Lucknow team in IPL 2024. The team performed well at the beginning of the season but later failed to make it to the playoffs. During the podcast, Langer was asked if he would never coach Team India in the future. To this, Langer said, I can't refuse. Justin Langer has coached the Australian team for four years. After the sandpaper gate scandal, he helped his subordinate team get out of the tough time. Under his leadership, the Australian team also won the Ashes and T20 World Cup trophies.
