This letter written on Monday said, “According to the information received, the summer vacation in schools was fixed by the Education Department till May 15, 2024 only. The Governor has requested to extend it due to the scorching heat in the state and its adverse effect on the health of the children.”
It further reads, “It is requested that the summer vacation of the schools in the state be extended till the first week of June 2024, so that the children studying in the schools, parents and teachers can get relief from the problems caused by the scorching heat.”
