Mirzapur, 23 May (HIST). On Thursday, on Vaishakh Purnima, a huge crowd of devotees gathered at Vindhyavasini Darbar for darshan and worship. Irrespective of the scorching heat, the devotees who reached Devi Dham paid obeisance at the feet of the Mother Goddess with great reverence. The visitors were overjoyed after seeing the grand form of the Mother Goddess.
After bathing and meditating at various Ganga ghats of Vindhyadham, devotees lined up on various routes leading to the temple carrying coconuts, chunri, garlands, flowers and prasad. Some took a glimpse while others reached the sanctum sanctorum and duly worshiped the mother and prayed for happiness and prosperity. The process of darshan and worship which started after the morning Mangala Aarti continued continuously. Despite the scorching heat, the enthusiasm for Maa Vindhyavasini was visible among the visitors who came from far away places. The entire campus echoed with the cheers of Mother. After having the darshan of Jagatnani, a large number of devotees worshiped all the deities present in the premises with reverence. In view of the huge crowd of devotees in Vindhya Darbar, strict security arrangements were made by the police administration.
