Kanpur, 22 May (Hindus). Trees, plants and animals purify the environment and increase the fertility of the land. Dr. Anand Kumar Singh, Vice Chancellor of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, told this to the students on the occasion of Biodiversity Day on Wednesday.
He said that there is immense diversity in wild life and various plant species, yet they are closely related due to their interdependence.
Appealing to everyone to save the environment, he said that the United Nations has declared May 22 as International Biodiversity Day. The basic objective of celebrating this day is to make people aware about biodiversity. The Vice Chancellor said that we should conserve the remaining natural resources.
