The winner of this match will play Qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which will be played on May 24, but before the eliminator, a tweet by former Royal Challengers Bangalore owner Vijay Mallya has surfaced. Vijay Mallya wished his old team on Twitter. On the day of Royal Challengers Bangalore's IPL eliminator match, Mallya wrote on social media that he feels that Royal Challengers Bangalore can become champions this season.
