New Delhi, May 21 (HS). There is a continuous situation of pressure in the domestic stock market today. Today's trading also started with a decline, but with the support of buying, the stock market recovered to a great extent. After this, due to selling pressure, both Sensex and Nifty indices took a dive. After the first one hour of trading, Sensex was trading with a weakness of 0.27 percent and Nifty with a weakness of 0.15 percent.
After the first one hour of trading, among the big stocks of the stock market, shares of Coal India, JSW Steel, Hindalco Industries, BPCL and Tata Steel were trading with a gain of 3.04 percent to 1.73 percent. On the other hand, shares of Nestle, Axis Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Mahindra & Mahindra and TCS were seen trading with a fall of 1.89 percent to 0.88 percent.
In the current trading, there was active trading in 2,213 shares in the stock market. Of these, 943 shares were trading in the green after earning profits, while 1,270 shares were trading in the red after incurring losses. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 12 shares remained in the green with the support of buying. On the other hand, 18 shares were trading in the red due to selling pressure. Whereas out of the shares included in Nifty, 23 shares were seen trading in the green mark and 27 shares were seen trading in the red mark.
BSE Sensex opened today with a fall of 162.98 points at the level of 73,842.96 points. After getting buying support in the early trade itself, this index jumped to the level of 73,987.47 points. But after this, due to selling pressure, this index started falling. After the first hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am the Sensex was trading at the level of 73,807.75 points with a weakness of 198.19 points.
Like Sensex, NSE's Nifty today started trading at 22,404.55 points, falling by 97.45 points. After getting buying support in early trade, this index jumped for some time and reached the level of 22,509.05 points in the green mark. But after this, due to selling pressure, this index again fell into the red. After the initial 1 hour of trading between continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am Nifty was trading at the level of 22,467.20 points with a fall of 34.80 points.
Before this, on the last trading day on Saturday, the Sensex had closed at the level of 74,005.94 points with a gain of 88.91 points or 0.12 percent. At the same time, Nifty jumped 35.90 points or 0.16 percent and ended Saturday's trading at the level of 22,502 points.
