Bhagalpur, May 19 (HS). The police has succeeded in exposing a big gang of inter-state thieves under Bypass police station of the district. 08 persons have been arrested with bike, laptop, LED TV, jewellery, idol, mobile, chisel, screw driver, huge quantity of clothes and other items. Information to this effect was given by Law and Order DSP Chandrabhushan Kumar during a press conference on Sunday.
He said that on the night of 17th, Bhagalpur police received information that some people had gathered for the purpose of crime in the north garden of Bypass Dhaba under Bypass police station. To verify the above information and take necessary action, a team was formed by the Senior Superintendent of Police under the leadership of Superintendent of Police, City Surveillance and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Law and Order. While conducting the raid, the said team arrested 08 persons along with 03 bikes, 01 laptop, 01 LED TV, silver jewellery, brass idol, 07 mobiles, chisel, screw driver, huge quantity of clothes and other items.
In this regard, a case was registered under relevant sections at Bypass police station. Those arrested include Vasuki Bhagat, Mannu Sah, Md. Kale, Md. Tabrez alias Scientist, Md. Shahbaz alias Chhotu, Ranjit Sao, Arvind Kumar and Sanjay Chaudhary. The arrested Md. Kale has a criminal history. Two cases are registered against him in Barari police station. With the arrest of the said miscreants, about half a dozen cases of theft in various police station areas of the district have come to light.
