Demand of Rs 1 lakh from shopkeeper through letter, threat of death if not given within eight days


Araria, 19 May (Hindustan Reporter). A demand for extortion of one lakh has been made through a letter from Ajit Kumar Jha, 21 year old son of Batuk Jha, resident of Ramai ward number five of Forbesganj police station area. However, the person demanding extortion has not mentioned his name anywhere. Ajit Kumar Jha is the owner of Sujit Electronics shop located in ward number five of Ramai. He has applied to the Forbesganj police station regarding the matter, demanding action against the unknown.

In the application given to the Forbesganj police station, he told that on May 18, at 9:30 pm, he had closed the shop and gone home. When I went to open my shop on Sunday morning, I found a letter locked outside the shop. In which it was said to deposit one lakh rupees. In the letter, there is a threat of being shot if the amount of Rs 1 lakh is not deposited and the person giving the letter said that his gang is living in Pakistan and if the amount is not received within 8 days, the gang member will be shot. .

Regarding the matter, Forbesganj police station incharge Raghavendra Kumar Singh said that after receiving the application, investigation will be done and action will be taken.
