Kanpur, 18 May (Hindustan Reporter). In Shivrajpur police station area late on Friday night, a drunk youth poured diesel on himself and set himself on fire. Police reached the spot after receiving information and admitted him to Halat Hospital for treatment, where his condition remains critical. This information was given by Assistant Police Commissioner Bilhaur Ajay Kumar Trivedi on Saturday.
He told that Pranshu, 25 year old son of Rampal, resident of Ajoli, Shivrajpur is addicted to drinking alcohol. He disputes at home every day after drinking alcohol. Late Friday night, Pranshu poured diesel kept in the house on himself and set himself on fire. Pranshu's fire, surrounded by flames, was somehow extinguished and he was immediately admitted to CHC Shivrajpur. Police also reached on information. Since his condition was critical, the doctors immediately sent him to Hallett Hospital.
ACP Bilhaur said that during interrogation the family members told that Pranshu is addicted to drinking alcohol. Every day he keeps quarreling at home after drinking alcohol. Two days ago, during a dispute, he had burnt all the clothes in the house. He is undergoing treatment in Halat in burnt condition.
