Hisar, 17 May (Hissar). The India Para Lawn Bowls team left for South Africa on Friday under the supervision of Raja Mohammed, General Secretary of Para India Lawn Bowls Federation, to participate in the Para Lawn Bowls World Championship to be held in South Africa from 18 to 31 May.
Team coach Sohan Singh said that the game of lawn balls is a very good game. It involves getting your bowl closer to the target than your opponents. The target is a small white ball called a jack and it is rolled the length of the green to start the game. Players from each team then take turns moving their bowls from the green to the jack. The team coach said that the players included in the Indian team include Sunil Dhillon, Vikas Narwal, Dharmendra Kumar and Sandeep Kumar. All of them are international players of lawn balls and have been sweating on the ground for a long time. He said that he has full confidence that the Indian team will bring glory to the country by performing brilliantly in the championship. It is noteworthy that Sunil Dhillon is a resident of Hisar.
General Secretary of Para India Lawn Balls Federation, Raja Mohammad, while congratulating the players, said that the entire federation has full hope that all the players will perform well and bring glory to India in the world.
