The 64th match of IPL will be played between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants. Based on equations, both the teams are still in the playoffs. Looking at the situation of other teams, the chances of both of them reaching the last-4 are less. The path for Delhi team is very difficult and now it can reach only 14 points. With two matches remaining, Lucknow team can score 16 points but to reach the playoffs it will have to depend on the results of other teams. Apart from this, net run rate will also be calculated. There have been four matches between the two teams so far, in which Lucknow is leading 3-1. This year, when both the teams met in Lucknow, Delhi won by a margin of six wickets, thanks to the brilliant batting of Jack Fraser.
Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been the leading bowler for Delhi with 15 wickets in 10 matches. Due to which Lucknow's batsmen may face problems. He has dismissed Nicholas Pooran five times in T20 cricket. Rishabh Pant, suspended for one match due to slow over rate, will play against Lucknow and Lucknow's spinners will have to be careful of him. However, Krunal Pandya has dismissed him thrice. In the current IPL, both the teams have failed to take advantage of the powerplay. Delhi tried many options but apart from Abhishek Porel, no one could support Jack Fraser. There is a problem of opening against Lucknow also. To maintain the chances of play-off, captain Lokesh Rahul's team will have to keep an eye on the run rate apart from victory.
