If anyone is caught using such vehicles, the vehicle will be confiscated along with the challan. The government has tied up with private agencies at 10 locations in Haryana and given them scrap licenses.

First of all, the RC of the vehicle and proof of ownership of the vehicle, i.e. the vehicle to be scrapped must be currently in the name of the owner. Certificate of Deposit and Certificate of Vehicle Scrap is given by the center on scrapping. On the basis of this certificate, the concerned vehicle owner will get exemption in road tax on purchasing another vehicle.
