Jhansi, May 10 (Hindus). Jhansi Mandal Police is determined to conduct the Lok Sabha elections in a peaceful manner. Due to this, under the “Operation Prahar” conducted against the criminals by the three districts Lalitpur, Jalaun and Jhansi Range Police of Jhansi division of Bundelkhand, in the last ten days, 10 criminals and 273 non-bailable warrantees have been arrested and sent to jail.
To conduct the Lok Sabha elections smoothly, a special campaign named “Operation Prahar” was started by Jhansi DIG Kalanidhi Naithani against criminals. The police have been successful in the prompt actions taken under this campaign.
A total of 10 criminals arrested with rewards declared in the month of April include – Jalaun's criminal Laik, son of Mohd. Umar, who had a reward of Rs 50,000, resident of Brajpuri Parwana Road, Jagatpuri East Delhi police station was arrested and sent to jail. The criminal Janak Sharma, son of Devidutt Sharma, resident of Dharampur police station, Najabgarh Delhi South, carrying a reward of Rs 25,000, was arrested and sent to jail. From Lalitpur district, criminals carrying a reward of Rs 25 thousand, Ramraja, Ajay Raja, Shakti Balmiki son of Dilip, Vishdev son of Pappu Adivasi, Sushil son of Ramlalan and Ajay Rawat son of Rajnarayan Rawat were arrested and sent to jail. From Lalitpur itself, criminal Pappu, son of Mulu, carrying a reward of Rs 15,000, and criminal Pradum Kushwaha, son of late Purushottam, carrying a reward of Rs 10,000, were arrested and sent to jail.
Along with this, Jhansi Police has arrested 69 warrantees, Jalaun Police has arrested a total of 85 warrantees and District-Lalitpur Police has arrested 119 warrantees and sent them to jail.
