IPL's Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is now embroiled in a new controversy. According to a recent report, sources have claimed that the payment of Rs 10 crore to Lucknow Police for security has not yet been made by LSG.
Did the UP government not even try to control itself?
Sources have also claimed that no efforts have been made so far by the Home Department of the UP Government to recover the outstanding loan of Rs 10 crore. It is noteworthy that 7 IPL matches were played in Lucknow. The responsibility of security was handed over to Lucknow Police. It was decided that LSG would pay Rs 1.25 crore as security liability to the police department for each match. That means an amount equal to one day's salary of security personnel.
So what payment was not received…?
Although sources claim that as per the rules, the Lucknow Police should have received the payment by now, but till now the Police has not received anything and the Lucknow team lost the match. Not a single bill has been paid to the police.
Where are the police and home department busy?
Information has been received from sources that only correspondence has taken place between the police and the Home Department. When Lucknow Police was talked about in this matter, the Joint Commissioner of Police said that the payment will be made soon. However, no response has been received from the team yet in this matter.
