Ballia, 09 May (Hindus). Five candidates filed nominations for the Lok Sabha elections on Thursday, the third day from Ballia and Salempur parliamentary constituencies. There was commotion throughout the day around the Collectorate complex due to filing of nominations by BSP candidates from both the parliamentary constituencies.
Three candidates from Ballia Lok Sabha constituency and two from Salempur filed their nomination papers. For Ballia Lok Sabha constituency, Lallan Singh Yadav from Bahujan Samaj Party, Omprakash Pandey from Rashtriya Samaj Dal (R) and Ramniwas Gond from Gondwana Gantantra Party filed nomination papers before Returning Officer Ravindra Kumar.
At the same time, Bhim Rajbhar of Bahujan Samaj Party from Salempur Lok Sabha constituency and Narayan Mishra from All India Sarvajanhit Party filed their nomination papers before Returning Officer Ojasvi Raj. There is no case against BSP candidate Bhim Rajbhar. He is the owner of three lakh 28 thousand rupees. Whereas there is jewelery worth Rs 2 lakh 28 thousand. Wife Campus also has jewelery worth Rs 2 lakh 85 thousand. Bhim Rajbhar has agricultural land worth 48 lakh 65 thousand. There is residential land worth Rs 78 lakh 18 thousand.
On the other hand, strict security arrangements were made around the Collectorate premises due to simultaneous filing of nominations by several parties. Entry was being allowed after being checked with a metal detector at the main gate of the District Magistrate's office.
