Chitrakoot, 07 May (Hindustan Reporter) The husband has been found guilty of filing a false report against the villagers after killing his sleeping wife with an ax at home. Upon conviction, Sessions Judge Vikas Kumar I sentenced the husband to life imprisonment. Also punished with a fine of Rs 10 thousand.
District Government Advocate Criminal Shyam Sundar Mishra said that the report was lodged by Ramraj Kushwaha, a resident of Khajuriha Kala village of Raipura police station area. According to the plaintiff, on the night of 29 November 2020, some people of the village entered his house and killed his wife Sangeeta Devi. When he raised an alarm pleading for help, the attackers started dragging him away. During this time he became unconscious after seeing his wife's dead body. The plaintiff had filed a report against his sister-in-law Gayatri Devi and Santosh Kushwaha in this case. During the investigation, the facts came to light that the plaintiff Ramraj Kushwaha had murdered his wife. After which the police arrested him. After his arrest, the murderer Ramraj is still in jail.
The police had filed a charge sheet in the court against the accused in this case. After hearing the arguments of the defense and prosecution lawyers, Sessions Judge Vikas Kumar Pratham pronounced the verdict on Tuesday. In which, after being proven guilty, the murderer Ramraj was sentenced to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 10,000.
