The country's largest airline company Indigo has announced a huge bonus for its employees. The company has given this information in the e-mail sent to the employees. The airline company has announced to give one and a half month's salary as bonus. Also sent an emotional message in the email.
“We have been through a turbulent time, first with COVID-19 and then with the company’s recovery,” the company said in an email. Both times have their own challenges. The losses incurred during Covid had a huge impact on the company and last year's profit was wiped out.

According to the airline's latest annual report for 2022-2023, IndiGo had a total of 32,407 employees. “We began the path to recovery in the second half of 2022 and have delivered solid and strong performance since then,” the airline said in the mail. Recent wide-body aircraft orders indicate a strong future.
Company continues to expand
On April 25, IndiGo placed a confirmed order for 30 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, which will help the low-cost airline provide non-stop flights from India to Europe, UK, US and Australia. However, the company has not given information about its price. According to a report, its value has been estimated at more than 9 billion dollars. European aviation manufacturers stopped releasing aircraft price data from 2019.
Apart from the 30 A350-900 order, IndiGo has also secured the right to purchase an additional 70 Airbus A350 aircraft. The airline currently operates low-cost flights with a fleet of Airbus 320 aircraft with all economy seats, seating 180 to 220 passengers. With this order, IndiGo will join the wide-body segment, which till now only includes Air India and Vistara – both Tata group companies.
