Varanasi, 27 April (HS). Municipal Commissioner Akshat Verma held a review meeting on Saturday with all the senior officials of the Municipal Corporation regarding the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections to be held on June 01.
In the meeting, there was a discussion regarding ensuring basic arrangements related to the Municipal Corporation under the Assured Minimum Facility (AMF) at the polling booths falling in the Municipal Corporation border area. In the assembly constituencies Cantt, City South, City North, Rohaniya and Shivpur Assembly which comes under the Municipal Corporation limit area, the total number of booths is 1454.
The Municipal Commissioner directed all the officers present in the meeting to immediately inspect all the booths under the Assured Minimum Facility (AMF). Which booths require drinking water, toilets, ramps, furniture, partitions, sheds etc.
The Municipal Commissioner directed the Chief Engineer to make pink booths and select suitable booths for standees and selfie points etc. All proceedings should be completed on time.
Additional Municipal Commissioner Dushyant Kumar Maurya, Assistant Municipal Commissioner Amit Shukla, Chief Engineer Moinuddin, City Health Officer Dr. Pradeep Kumar etc. were present in the meeting.
