Former students shared their experiences in the alumni conference of IVV

Prayagraj, 27 April (HS). The alumni meet, 'Familiar Faces Fiesta', was inaugurated at Allahabad University on Saturday. It was inaugurated by University Chancellor Ashish Kumar Chauhan, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sangeeta Srivastava, President of University of Allahabad Alumni Association Prof. Heramb Chaturvedi and Secretary Prof. Kumar Birendra lit the lamp.

Many alumni of the University from India and abroad, including the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, judges currently serving in the Supreme Court and sitting judges of the High Courts are participating in the programme. Along with this, officers holding various posts from many cities of the country also participated. Pura students who are earning name in the field of film and literature in India and abroad also graced the programme.

During this, former Chief Justice of India Justice VN Khare shared his experiences of Allahabad University. Supreme Court judge Justice Vikram Nath said that he used to measure the entire city on a bicycle during his student days. He appealed to the people present to look at the university, especially the science faculty, and understand its glorious history.

At the same time, former Supreme Court judge Justice Krishna Murari gave credit to Allahabad University for his education, knowledge and his grateful personality and said that this institution has given a meaningful direction to my life. Supreme Court judge Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia also shared his experiences. Praising the teachers, Supreme Court judge Justice Pankaj Mittal said that the teachers in this university used to teach in such a way that there was no need to open the book for the examination.

At the same time, film director Tigmanshu Dhulia said that when I used to study here, the teachers used to speak such fluent English that it seemed as if they were sitting in Oxford and not in India. He said that if I had not been in Allahabad University, I would not have been able to earn such a big name in Mumbai. During this, many speakers including former student Praveen Rai presented their views.

Vice Chancellor Prof. presiding. Sangeeta Srivastava said that a university is not made up of buildings and boundary walls only, but its identity is made up of the achievements of the students who study there. The students here have brought glory to the university with their achievements in every sphere of life. The university is still committed to providing excellent education, knowledge and skills, for which the teachers and other employees work hard day and night with full dedication. Ishwar Topa Bhawan has been constructed with the help of our alumni. He expressed hope that in future also the alumni will continue to cooperate fully in the development of Allahabad University. The Vice Chancellor said that the way the university is functioning now, it will definitely find its place in the list of best 200 institutions of NIRF and earn A+ rating in NAAC.

-Alumni Association's mobile app launched, books released

In the conference, the mobile app of Alumni Association “UOAAA” was launched by Chancellor Prof. Ashish Kumar Chauhan and VC Prof. Sangeeta Srivastava. The film 'The Banyan Tree' based on Ivivi was also released. During this, the book 'Crime, Grime and Guption' by Om Prakash Singh, former DGP of Uttar Pradesh, was unveiled. In this sequence, the poetry collection 'Shadbnaad' of former student Anamika Srivastava was launched. At the same time, the book 'Dastaan ​​Aur Bhi Hai' by former student Virendra Ojha was unveiled.

A cultural evening was organized in the evening on the first day of the alumni meet. Bhajans, tabla playing, sitar playing, folk music, Russian songs, western classic songs, poems and ghazals were presented in it. Along with this, group dance presentation was given.

The program was conducted by Professor Jaya Kapoor and Dr. Sonal Shankar. The vote of thanks was given by Alumni Association Secretary Prof. Kumar Birendra. During the program, Bharatnatyam dancer Urvashi Jaitley gave a captivating presentation of Bharatnatyam.
