Prayagraj, 26 April (HS). Allahabad High Court has summoned Deputy Labor Commissioner Mirzapur for not releasing the compensation amount awarded to the claimants of the deceased employee. The Court has asked that he appear in person and explain the circumstances under which the amount awarded to the claimants has not yet been released.
Justice Vipin Chandra Dixit has given this order while hearing the petition of MG Industrial Training Centre. The court has also said that after receiving this order, the compensation amount should be released within three days and its information should be presented on the next date of hearing, May 7.
In fact, in the case after the death of employee Babulal, the order passed by the Commissioner-Deputy Labor Commissioner Mirzapur awarded a compensation of Rs 6 lakh, 31 thousand, 874. The petitioner challenged this order of the Employees Compensation Commissioner before the High Court. However, the petitioner deposited the compensation amount before the Employees' Compensation Commissioner for payment to the claimants. But, the Commissioner did not release the compensation amount as the appeal was pending before the High Court and rejected the application to release the compensation amount to the claimants.
Whereas, the court did not pass any interim order. On this, the Court has issued a notice to the concerned Employees Compensation Commissioner-Deputy Labor Commissioner, Mirzapur and passed an order to appear personally before this Court on the next scheduled date.
