Prayagraj, 26 April (HS). Allahabad University will organize an alumni meet, 'Familiar Faces Fiesta' on April 27-28, in which alumni of the university from different parts of the country and abroad will participate.
The Public Relations Officer of the University said that the alumni of the University till 1996 batch are coming to participate. It is going to include four sitting judges of the Supreme Court of India, five retired judges along with the former Chief Justice of India. Apart from this, present and former judges of various High Courts will also participate in this two-day program.
On one hand, administrative officials from Rashtrapati Bhavan, Department of Science and Technology as well as other central ministries and departments will be part of this conference. On the other hand, big names from the film world like Tigmanshu Dhulia will also grace the event. So far, more than 1200 alumni have registered for this conference organized by the university.
The mobile app 'UOAAA' of the university's alumni association will be launched during this two-day conference. Besides, the film 'The Banyan Tree' based on the university will also be released. In this sequence, the memento of the university 'The Banyan Tree: Memoirs and Dreams' will also be released. Coffee table book 'The Glory of University of Allahabad' published by IVV will also be available, which interested guests can buy.
-Poetry recitation of Kumar Vishwas on 28th April
On the evening of 28th April, the country's well-known poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas will give his poetry presentation in the Banyan Lawn of the University. Apart from these, some other poets Sandeep Bhola, Kavita Tiwari, Rajiv Raj and Priyanshu Gajendra will also recite their poems. All the activities of this two-day program will be telecast live on the official YouTube channel of the University, the link of which is available on the University website.
