An accused of Indian origin was shot dead during police action in San Antonio, America. Police officers were trying to catch Sachin Sahu (42). During this time, he hit two officers with his car, after which police officer Tyler Turner opened fire on him. Sahu was originally from Uttar Pradesh. Sources said he was probably an American citizen.
Police issued warrant
Giving details of the entire incident, the San Antonio Police Department said that officers were dispatched to Cheviot Heights in San Antonio shortly before 6:30 pm on April 21 after receiving a report of a serious assault. Upon arrival, officers learned that a 51-year-old woman had been intentionally struck by a vehicle. According to the department, the suspect fled the scene. The victim woman has been admitted to the local hospital where her condition is said to be critical. After this, San Antonio Police issued an arrest warrant against Sahu.
Police officers reached home
Police said that after several hours, the accused's neighbors informed that Sahu had returned, following which officers reached his house. After this Sahu hit both the officers with his vehicle. Meanwhile, an officer fired his weapon at Sahu. Sahu was “declared dead on the spot”. One injured officer was taken to a local hospital and another officer was treated at the scene, police said. According to the information, Sahu's first wife Leah Goldstein had bipolar disorder. He was suffering from this disease for the last 10 years. Apart from this, he also had symptoms of schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is also a mental illness in which the patient remains in a state of confusion. The wife of deceased Sahu described her husband as a good father and human being.
