If this average continues, there is every possibility of seeing more than 1250 sixes by the end of the season. If this happens, it will be a new record for most sixes in a single season of IPL. Earlier in the 2023 season, 1124 sixes were hit.
Top player who hit most sixes
Chris Gayle is at the forefront of hitting most sixes in IPL history. He has hit 357 sixes in 141 innings. Rohit Sharma is second with 275, AB de Villiers is third with 251, Virat Kohli is fourth with 250 and Mahendra Singh Dhoni is fifth with 247. Now if we look at the current season, Sunrisers Hyderabad has hit the maximum number of 99 sixes in 7 matches.
Thus, he has an average of 13 sixes per innings. For Hyderabad, Klaasen leads the way with 26 runs, followed by Abhishek Sharma with 24 runs and Travis Head with 18 runs.
