A shocking news has come out from Malaysia. Here two helicopters collided in the air. It is reported that so far 10 people have died in this incident. Both helicopters are said to be of the army. This incident took place in Lumut city of Malaysia. There were a total of ten crew members, according to preliminary information no one survived.
The incident occurred while the Royal Malaysian Navy was rehearsing for Malaysia's annual event. It took place at a Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) base, where rehearsals for the upcoming festive event were underway. A spokesperson told The New Straits Times that firefighters were currently in the process of evacuating the victims.
“All victims died on the spot and were taken to Lumut Army Base Hospital for identification,” the navy said in a statement. According to footage published in local media, one helicopter clipped the rotor of the other before both fell to the ground. A helicopter, HOM M503-3, with seven people on board is believed to have crashed on a running track.
A Fennec M502-6, carrying the remaining three victims, crashed into a nearby swimming pool. The State Fire and Rescue Department said it was informed of the incident at 09:50 local time (02:10 BST). The country's Navy said that an inquiry panel is being formed to investigate the incident.
