According to a press release from the NBFC, the new interest rates have come into effect from April 9. The potential return now reaches 9.40 percent per annum.
Senior citizens and women benefit more
For senior citizens aged 60 years and above, an additional interest of 0.50 percent per year will be paid. Women depositors will be given additional interest of 0.10 percent per year. Additionally, Shriram Finance Limited is offering an additional interest of 0.25 percent per annum on all renewals of FDs.
