Lucknow, 19 April (HS). Peaceful voting is going on in eight constituencies of Uttar Pradesh from 7 am on Friday. Till 5 pm, 57.54 percent voting took place on these seats. This information has been given from the office of Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer. Among the seats where voting is taking place, Saharanpur Lok Sabha seat has recorded the highest turnout of 63.29 percent from the beginning till 5 pm.
It is noteworthy that under the first phase of Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, voting started on eight Lok Sabha seats from 7 am amid tight security. Gradually, even the heat of the temperature could not weaken the morale of the voters and the polling booths remained crowded continuously. Voting is still going on on all the seats of the first phase of UP. Till 5 pm, a total of 57.54 percent voting took place in eight Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh. Due to tight security arrangements, there are continuous queues of voters at the polling booths.
