Gwalior, 20 February (HS). Gwalior resident and player trained at Madhya Pradesh Women's Hockey Academy, Krishna Sharma, will be honored with the “Pankh” Sports Achievement Award 2024. The award ceremony will be held today (Tuesday) from 11.15 am at Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium in Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will present the award to Krishna.
In this regard, Hitendra Singh Bhadauria, Departmental Information Officer said that Krishna, daughter of Maya Sharma and Sunil Sharma, resident of Naka Chandrabadni, Gwalior, has recently returned after representing India in the Sub Junior Girls Hockey Competition held in Netherlands. Apart from India Sub Junior, MP Junior and Sub Junior, this promising daughter of the city has also performed excellently in Khelo India. Krishna told that she plays on the position of right arm striker. Currently, she is learning the nuances of hockey from coaches Vandana Uike and Paramjit Singh at the Hockey Academy. Along with sports, he is also studying in class eleventh.
